Sleep Tight

This first recording, done in 1989, features music from the African American Sea Island Communities. These songs, culled from Ron and Natalie's early performances, are presented in a traditional acapella style and include call and response (Certainly, Lord; Trouble Will Be Ova), coded message songs (Mary Had a Baby) and field songs. An important recording for anyone who loves traditional music, gullah culture and acapella styles. Or who are fans of Ron and Natalie's tight harmonies!
